George Slotin is a versatile singer, actor, pianist, southern gentleman and character-driven mover (who enjoys a dance call as much as the next actor) originally from Charleston, SC. George graduated with Honors from New York University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, Specialization in Music Theatre. George prides himself in his vocal flexibility, singing composers including Donizetti and Massenet to Rodgers and Hammerstein and Pasek and Paul, to Billy Joel and Freddie Mercury. Jamie Harris, Justin Busch and Chase Renouf at Clear Talent Group also represent George for Theatre/Film/TV.
Favorite theatre credits include The Music Man (Jacey Squires, Arizona Theatre Company and St. Petersburg Opera Company), Carousel (Enoch Snow, Media Theatre), Guys and Dolls (Nicely-Nicely, Gwynette Theatre), Show Boat (U/S Ravenal, Shubert Theatre), Damn Yankees (Vernon, Sharon Playhouse), NYMF, New York Fringe Festival as well as productions of Fiorello!, Street Scene, Spamalot and performances with NYMF and New York Fringe Festival. Workshop credits include A Bronx Tale (Tony Ten to Two), directed by Jerry Zaks, choreography by Sergio Trujillo and music direction by Ron Melrose, The Count of Bran Castle produced by Porchlight Music Theatre and Joe Iconis’ Broadway Bounty Hunter. George has also appeared on multiple Charlie Rosen Big Band and 8-Bit Big recordings as well as performing one of Rosen’s arrangements for the finale of Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris.
When he is not on stage, George can be found playing golf with his father and grandfather or basketball with his team comprised of singers and jazz musicians, Not the Utah “Jazz.” George is a sports fanatic and co-hosts a fantasy football podcast, The Draftaholics. George’s great-grandfather opened a beautiful antique store in Charleston in 1922, specializing in 18th and 19th century English furniture, sterling silver, china and porcelain, and as the fourth-generation family owner, George has transitioned from child laborer under family control to working remotely in online sales, marketing and SEO.
