John Charles Nagy is a New York based actor, writer and print model. John hails from Malvern, Pennsylvania; a suburb on the Main Line outside of Philadelphia. After graduating with a B.A. in Theatre from Lynchburg College in Virginia, John worked on a number of productions in Philadelphia and central Virginia before moving to New York City in September, 2012. Since moving to the city, John has performed in Shakespeare productions and original plays, appeared in a number of industrials and print ads, student films, web-series, and a commercial for Trebl; a new mobile app. He has also performed regionally in Syracuse, NY with The Redhouse Arts Center (Metamorphoses, A Man of No Importance, Gross Indecency) and Winnipesaukee Playhouse in Meredith, NH (The Foreigner, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer).
John most recently appeared on stage in The American Play, part of the 2015 FringeNYC and Fringe Encore Series, and winner of Best Playwright. Additionally, John is writing a novel, entitled, The Redeemer, and is working towards producing a short film, entitled, 176, as well as a number of comedy sketches. He is signed commercially with David Elliott of Don Buchwald & Associates, Inc. In his free time, John enjoys cooking and watching Christmas movies with his
fiancé, Megan, and their mini dachshund, Ruby.
John is very excited to be working with Kathy, and continuing to pursue roles in film and television!
