Marcus Jordan, native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is an unique and versatile singer/actor who is equally at home in opera and musical theatre. An exciting and engaging performer, Marcus has performed roles in shows such as Albert Herring (Vicar), Grand Night for Singing (Martin), Oklahoma! (Curly), Porgy and Bess (Jim), Ragtime (Coalhouse Walker Jr.), and Sweeney Todd (Anthony Hope).
Wanting to further his career in music, Marcus attended Western Michigan University to pursue a BA degree in Music. While a student, Marcus was fortunate to have an array of musical experiences that shaped his performing ability. He sang in the choral program, gaining extensive ensemble skills, performed several operatic roles, and sang in the internationally acclaimed jazz ensemble, Gold Company.
Marcus furthered his studies at Westminster Choir College with a masters degree in performance and vocal pedagogy. While learning and growing at WCC, Marcus collaborated with both the opera and musical theatre programs singing leading roles. While attending WCC Marcus had the opportunity to be a young artist with Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC.
