Michael’s interest in theater began in the 6th grade when his math teacher urged him to audition for the school play. He caught “the bug” and continued performing in plays throughout middle school and high school. Michael was unaware of his singing ability until, in 9th grade, his father complemented his after-school-shower-rendition of Evanescence’s “Bring Me to Life.” Michael’s classical vocal style is ill-suited for alternative punk rock, however he is grateful for the genre that inspired him to find his voice.
Michael attended the Boston Conservatory where, after four rigorous and fulfilling years, he received a BFA in Musical Theater with an emphasis in acting and vocal repertoire. Michael performed various roles while studying at the conservatory – from Curly (Oklahoma) to Dr. Frankenfurter (The Rocky Horror Show). Both are roles he wishes to reprise in the near future.
Michael looks forward to diving headfirst into the New York theater scene, as he plans to officially move to the city in September. The best is yet to come!
