Michael describes himself as having the work ethic of The Group Theatre mixed with the stage prowess of Ethel Merman. He is a classically trained actor and singer with a BFA from Hofstra University. From period dramas, golden age musicals and Shakespeare. Michael has taken a big bite out of the theatrical canon — he has performed several of the great male musical theatre roles and has studied and taken on the language and style of Shakespeare, Ibsen and Chekhov in major roles.
Michael has trained in dialects, stage combat, biomechanics and has recently begun studying the Alexander Technique. Along with his own stage career, Michael has always enjoyed working to inspire children in the arts. He has directed several children’s productions as well as performed in kid-friendly shows.
Off the stage, Michael boasts about his home state of Rhode Island, where he got his start doing theatre at the age of 5, playing the Blue Bird, a role of enormous importance. After graduating from Hofstra he moved to New York City to pursue his acting career full time. In the end, Michael is inspired by the old school grandeur of the theatre.
