Stephen Mir was born and raised in New Jersey. Early on he studied acting in Newark at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and went on to perform for the New Jersey Youth Theatre.
Stephen went on to study theatre at The University of Hartford where he earned his BFA in Acting at the Hartt School. Since his time at school he’s worked at numerous theatres being Peterborough Players, Monomoy Theatre, Ivoryton Playhouse, Gretna Theatre, and Hartford Stage where he got to work with the marvelous Darko Tresnjak on two different Shakespeare productions.
While every role has a special place in his heart, some of Stephen’s favorite roles include: Anthony (Sweeney Todd), Lt. Joe Cable (South Pacific), Max (Lend Me A Tenor), Nicholas Nickleby (The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby), Homer Wells (The Cider House Rules)
