Stefano de PeppoBass

Stefano de Peppo was born in Italy and started his stage experience very young as a boy soprano at La Scala Opera House in Milan.
He then studied at Civic School of Music of Milan and in London, and he now resides in New York City.

He is known for his powerful voice, impeccable diction and stage skills as a leading basso buffo in such roles as Leporello (don Giovanni), Bartolo (Barbiere di Siviglia), don Magnifico (La Cenerentola), Dulcamara (L’Elisir d’amore), Mustafà (L’Italiana in Algeri), don Pasquale, Gianni Schicchi, Sulpice (La Fille du Regiment), The Sacristan (Tosca).

He has sung with major Opera Houses in USA (Atlanta Opera, San Diego Opera, Minnesota Opera, Arizona Opera, Sarasota Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Memphis Opera, Carnegie Hall, Montana Opera, Portland Opera, Austin Opera, Miami Lyric Opera), Spain (Jerez, A Coruña, Cordoba, Sevilla, Valladolid, Tenerife) Italy (Roma), Mexico (Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Festival International Cervantino), Colombia (Teatro Colon de Bogotà), Germany (Essen), France (Versailles, Opera de Massy), England (Royal Albert Hall, Holland Park Theatre), Czech Republic (Estate Theatre in Prague), Finland (Finnish National Opera), Costa Rica (Teatro Nacional in San Jose), Israel (New Israeli Opera).

He is Leporello in live DVD of “don Giovanni” filmed by RAI at Teatro Argentina in Rome in 2002 with famed Italian baritone Renato Bruson as the don.
