Alex Webb made his professional debut in Peter Sellar’s Ajax at the American National Theatre/Kennedy Center. In New York, he was an associate artist with the Aquila Theatre Company and played everything from Lady Bracknell to Zeus. In New York he has performed at the Public, Lincoln Center and Classic Stage among others. In the regions he has worked at theatres such as Arena Stage, La Jolla Playhouse and St. Louis Rep.
He made his film debut in the cinema classic, Boiler Room. In film and TV he has worked with Oscar-winners Meryl Streep, Ben Affleck, Olympia Dukakis, Eli Wallach and Melissa Leo among others; recently he has been seen on House of Cards, Boardwalk Empire, Daredevil, Blindspot, Person of Interest and The Good Cop.
Alex’s first play, Amelia, was published by Samuel French in 2017. Amelia has received critical acclaim and multiple productions across the country. He wrote and directed a feature film, To The Flame, which was nominated for Best Picture at the Madrid International Film Festival and recently screened at the Museum of the Moving Image and won Best Screenplay at the Queens World Film Festival.
