From 2009-2016, Dieter Riesle recurred in the role of Dieter, Key Servant to Boris on Royal Pains (U.S.A. Network). He also played Edward Plumber on The Blacklist (NBC), Dr. Adolf Warner on The Knick (Cinemax) and Vladmir Sarbonis on Blue Bloods (CBS). Other TV shows include Boardwalk Empire (HBO), Vinyl (HBO), Gossip Girl (The CW) and Broad City (Comedy Central).
In movies, he co-starred as the German Gala Scientist Dr. Heinrich Schäfer in the The Avengers (2012), Herr Franck in The Good Shepherd and a Swiss Bank Official in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps – among other film roles.
Mr. Riesle made New York City his home in 1985. He was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. Prior to becoming an actor, he pursued a career as a principal ballet dancer for 20 years in the early part of his life.
Following his career as a dancer, he studied acting with Lloyd Richards, Earle Gister and Jodie Lynne McClintock in New York and now performs in film, television, voice-overs and plays.
Mr. Riesle also holds a B.A. in International Criminal Justice and an M.S. in Forensic Computing.
In his spare time, he enjoys classical music, philosophy and riding his road bikes.
