Equally at home on the stages of opera, jazz, theater and cabaret, Minda Larsen, a master song interpreter and story teller, has charmed audiences in leading venues around New York, the country and the world. In 2015, she was awarded “best cabaret singer” and won first place in the MetroStar Competition and was nominated by Broadway World as “Best Female Vocalist”. Her performance career has carried her across all seven oceans and to over 80 countries as a featured headline soloist on all leading cruise lines.

Performances in 2016 include a run of a new, original show fully produced by the acclaimed jazz club, the Metropolitan Room. She performs the lead role of Mel in The Lady in Penthouse B off-Broadway. Other recent credits include the Emmy-nominated production of Carousel with the New York Philharmonic televised for PBS: Live From Lincoln Center, and the premiere of Paul McCartney’s symphony Ecce Cor Meum at Carnegie Hall, as well as engagements with the TriBeCa New Music Festival, MetroLyric Opera, the Little Orchestra Society, the Village Light Opera, Light Opera of New York and the American Symphony Orchestra. Minda’s original Johnny Mercer tribute solo show, Trav’lin’ Light, debuted at the Metropolitan Room in September 2014 and was featured at the Savannah Cabaret Festival in June 2015. Previously, she was a finalist in the Lotte Lenya / Kurt Weill Competition for her work as a crossover artist.
Minda lives in Brooklyn, New York and also maintains a busy teaching schedule. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, she has a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
